About Us
We are a brand born from working with nature and people.
True wellness is about both.
Grow Folk was born from a simple belief: that growing your own food should heal the earth, not hurt it. We are more than just an online garden shop. We are a collective of growers, makers, and soil-lovers dedicated to sustainable gardening South Africa can be proud of.
Whether you are an urban farmer or a permaculture pro, we are here to help you grow better.
From Seeds to Wisdom
Our Roots
In 2008, Petrus traded city life for a small farm, embarking on a homesteading journey. Over the years, he cultivated not just crops, but a deep understanding of gardening, farming, and working with nature. This wealth of knowledge and experience became the foundation for Grow Folk, born from a desire to share wisdom and make sustainable living accessible to all.
Cultivating Connections, Nurturing Knowledge
Growing Together
Grow Folk is more than just a platform; it’s a thriving community of like-minded individuals passionate about sustainable living. We believe in the power of shared knowledge and collective experience. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, you’ll find a supportive network here, ready to help you grow and learn.
Sowing Seeds of Sustainable Change
Harvesting Success
Our vision for Grow Folk is threefold: to be a comprehensive educational resource, fostering a vibrant community, and offering a marketplace that prioritizes quality and value. We’re committed to providing practical knowledge, facilitating connections, and ensuring access to the best tools and resources. Join us in cultivating a greener, more sustainable future.

What our customers say
Best Service Ever!
Goodness, Petrus and his team have taken service to a whole new level. Placed my order after 3 pm on Friday and by 4 pm I received a notification that my order has been collected. I just received my order. Add to that, the products I bought were more cost-effective than other online outlets. You have a customer for life!
Lise Gatenby
