One of the most productive sweet peppers we have grown. Purple Flame produces thick-walled juicy and crunchy fresh eating peppers that start off yellow or purple and mature to a reddish colour with some purple streaks. A very tasty pepper that will be perfect for salads, pizza toppings, and oven roasting. Seldom do we find a variety that is both beautiful and produces a substantial harvest. These are the perfect combo of everything you want. The fruit is slightly smaller than a normal bell pepper, but we have plants in pots producing 21 fruit per plant! The taste is similar to bell pepper, but the added colour makes it way better.
