Tomato – Yellow Beefsteak – Heirloom Seeds

R32.00 incl VAT

Yellow beefsteak tomatoes bring a bright and sunny colour to your meals and recipes. They have a subtler flavour / taste profile than the red varieties, and also have a very subtle “fresh tomato” aroma. Yellow beefsteak tomatoes are also much lower in acidity than red tomatoes and are a great alternative for those who find the other varieties too acidic.

Planting Instructions

Start tomato seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Do not plant out until 2 weeks after last frost. Tomato seeds require high soil temperatures for good germination rates. We highly recommend heat mats to ensure and speed up germination. Pot up to 3–4 inch pots when first true leaves develop (not cotyledon leaves). Harden off plants for 1-2 weeks in full sun before transplanting them outside (after last frost). Make sure to give tomato plants a lot of space for vigorous root and foliage growth.
