Eggplant – Rosa Bianca

Rosa Bianca is probably our favourite heirloom eggplant variety and there are many reasons for topping the chart. Simply breathtaking with so many colours that include white, pink, purple, and lilac. The more sun the fruit receives the darker the fruit will turn out. The 10-12cm long almost round fruit has soft skin and is very popular with chefs and markets. What we enjoy most is how quickly they mature close to 80 days from transplant and you will get to enjoy these creamy, mild-flavoured beauties. They also have little to no bitterness to them which takes away some preparation time. The plants love the full sun and lots of feed and water. This Italian heirloom originally from Sicily is unbeatable in our opinion. If you have never grown eggplant before and are intimidated give Rosa Bianca a try.
