Jiffy 7 Pellets 41mm are crafted from Sphagnum peat sourced from carefully selected peat bogs. The peat is enriched with lime and a special low-ammonium fertilizer to encourage growth. Each pellet has a pH of approximately 5.3 and is encased in a thin, biodegradable net.

Jiffy pellets are a popular, ready-to-use medium ideal for seed germination, as well as rooting plant cuttings or clones. When fully expanded, the compressed pellets measure about 41mm in width and 42mm in height. Upon watering, the Jiffy pellets expand, with the hydrated medium contained within a degradable net. A small indentation on top of the pellet allows for easy seed placement once it has expanded.

The outer netting of the Jiffy pellets ensures they can stand alone or be placed in seedling trays for additional support, which is particularly useful when rooting cuttings. Once the root system is well developed, the pellets can be directly planted into an NFT system, larger plastic or fabric pots, or even a rockwool slab.

Jiffy 7 Pellets 41mm are also favored by soil growers and can be directly planted into the soil once the seedling is established. These pellets are manufactured from sphagnum peat and coir fibers, harvested from bogs that comply with strict internal and governmental controls to minimize environmental impact. Peat is sourced only from locations where the regeneration rate exceeds the harvest rate, ensuring no adverse effects on the local ecology.
