Bioneem has multiple modes of action including insect growth regulation, feeding deterrant and also as an oviposition deterant. Once injested, the azadirachtin disturbs a number of vital physiological processes including the insects ability to walk, jump, fly and copulate | Lepidoptera show extreme sensitivity to Azadirachtin. Coleoptera, Hemiptera and Homoptera are less sensitive to azadirachtin and require higher rates to acheive control.
- Bioneem is biodegradable and non-toxic which allows for application around birds, fish and mammals.
- Bioneem only targets leaf-sucking chewing and biting insects therefore not killing beneficial insects
- Controls insects at all live stages of development
- Has strong efficacy on a wide range of pests
- Bioneem does not harm earthworms |Can be used
Apply as a full cover spray ensuring thorough wetting of the plant. Under high insect pressure apply at 3 – 4 day intervals. Preventative Programme: apply every 7 days.
After first 2 sprays, monitor insect pressure and adjust spraying up to 14 day intervals, or as necessary.
Bioneem has been found to be compatible with most commonly used fungicides, insecticides and fertilisers. Physical compatibility should first be checked by using the current proportions of products in a small jar test. Growers should then test tank-mix combinations for phytotoxicity on a sample of crops prior to use.
Store in a cool, dry place in the original sealed container. Do not store below 4 °C
