Important: pH sensor care and storage

Proper care and storage of the pH sensor is extremely important. Even on a brand new unit, letting the sensor dry out can permanently damage the glass electrode, which shows up as wrong or unstable readings.

1. Always keep the sensor moist. Never store the sensor dry. Put a few drops of pH storage solution (for Bluelab probes, the KCl storage solution) inside the protective cap so the tip stays hydrated. Do not use distilled or pure water for storage.
2. Clean after use. After each test, rinse the electrode tip thoroughly with pure or distilled water, and gently shake off the excess water before replacing the protective cap.
3. Cap securely. Always make sure the protective cap is tightly closed after use, so the storage liquid cannot evaporate.

Damage caused by the sensor drying out or by improper storage is not covered by a warranty or return.

A replacement probe for the Combo Meter with Leap pH Probe (METCOMPLUS) and Multimedia pH Meter (METMULTI) but compatible with all Bluelab handheld meters, monitors and controllers with a BNC connection.
