Ideal for indoor grow rooms, grow tents, and hydroponic systems, this lightweight filter removes unwanted smells while helping to reduce dust, mould spores, bacteria, and airborne contaminants. It can also be installed on an intake fan to help prevent pests such as spider mites from entering your growing environment.

The compact design makes installation quick and easy—simply suspend the filter with rope ratchets and connect it to your ducting. For the best results, always pair the filter with an inline fan that has an airflow rating equal to or lower than the filter’s maximum capacity.

Installation Tips

For optimal odour control, install the carbon filter before your exhaust fan. Ensure your fan’s airflow does not exceed 800m³/h, as excessive airflow reduces the contact time with the activated carbon and decreases filtration efficiency.

A simple guide for sizing your ventilation system:

Required airflow (m³/h) = (Number of grow lights × Wattage) ÷ 2

For hotter South African summers, increase the calculated airflow requirement by approximately 20%.

Important: Carbon filters are not effective in environments with relative humidity above 85%. If humidity regularly exceeds this level, use a dehumidifier to maintain proper filtration performance.
