How to use
- Verify the humidity level of your flower is at least 60% stable in your jar before committing to the next step.
- Carefully break down your flower into smaller pieces, approximately 0.25-0.5 grams.
Tip: Using nitrile gloves will help keep your essential oils off of your hands when handling flowers. - Place the base of the mold on top of the working table.
- Line the base of the mold with a small sheet of parchment paper to prevent essential oils from sticking to the base.
- Place the rectangle shell over the base of the mold.
- Evenly distribute the material inside of the shell until you have your desired amount loaded.
Tip: Use the PETP spacer sheets for lower amounts loaded to form a more compressed puck. - Place a sheet of parchment paper over the loaded material to prevent sticking to the mold.
- Place the plunger inside the rectangle shell and compress it onto the working table using the palm of your hand.
- Remove the mold from the base and turn it upside down to see the base of your compressed puck.
- Eject the puck from the mold and quickly load it into a 2×4” or 2×4.5” filter.
Tip: Dabpress brand filters include a plastic sheet that can be used to hold open the filter for easy loading. - Fold the remaining unfilled portion of the filter over the top of the puck.
- The puck is now ready to be pressed using your heat press machine.
Important Notices!
- If more than hand pressure is needed to compress the mold, we recommend a hand clamp vise to assist you.
- Loading more than the high amounts suggested may result in blowouts of filters.
- Included PETP sheets are included to help you create a compressed puck with lower amounts loaded.
- If using a shop press or arbor press to compress the molding, be sure to protect the top of the mold with a wooden block to prevent damage to the aluminum.
