Silicote is a super-spreader and wetter – A NON-IONIC WETTER/ SPREADER SURFACTANT
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Polyether Modifi ed Trisiloxane 1000 g/kg
What Silicote Does
Silicote is a super-spreader and wetter.
It helps your sprays spread evenly across leaves, penetrate better, and stick properly — making your pesticides or foliar feeds work more effectively.
You never spray Silicote alone. It is always mixed with another product (fertilizer, pesticide, calcium spray, etc.).
When to Use Silicote
Use Silicote whenever you want your spray to:
✔ Spread better
✔ Stick better
✔ Reduce runoff
✔ Improve coverage on waxy or tough leaves
Great for: vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, cannabis, ornamentals, lawns, and seedlings.
Simple Mixing Instructions (Small Growers)
General Rule
Use 1–2 ml of Silicote per 10 L of spray mix
(= same as 100–200 ml per 1000 L)
This covers MOST normal uses such as:
-
Foliar feeding
-
Pest control sprays
-
Fungicide sprays
-
Growth stimulants
-
General horticultural spraying
For difficult-to-wet crops or thicker sprays
Use up to 2.5 ml per 10 L (max safe range for small growers)
For Lawn / Soil Wetting
To help water penetrate into dry soil:
10–15 ml per 10 L of water, then apply to the lawn or soil surface.
For Calcium Nitrate (Bitter Pit Control)
If used for fruit trees, especially apples:
1 ml per 10 L
(do not exceed this — too much can cause runoff and leaf burn)
How to Mix (Step-by-Step)
-
Fill your spray tank 2/3 with water.
-
Add your main product first
(fertilizer, pesticide, fungicide, etc.). -
Add Silicote LAST.
-
Use only the exact amount needed — it is very strong.
-
Mix well / shake the sprayer before spraying.
-
Spray as normal, but avoid spraying until runoff.
Important Notes for Safe Use
-
Never spray Silicote by itself.
-
Do NOT use with glyphosate that contains tallow amines.
-
Do a tiny jar test if mixing with a new product for the first time.
-
Do not overdose — more is not better (it can cause leaf burn).
-
Wear gloves and avoid contact with eyes/skin.
-
Store sealed and dry; do not let water get into the bottle.
